NMLS Fee Increases Take Effect March 1: What Mortgage Professionals Need to Know

Effective March 1, 2025, the Conference of State Bank Supervisors (CSBS) implemented the first increase in processing fees for the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) since its inception in 2008. This adjustment follows a comprehensive public comment period in 2024 and aims to support the ongoing modernization and maintenance of the NMLS platform, which serves over 600,000 industry users across various financial sectors.

·         Company Initial Set-Up/Application Fee: increased from $100 to $120

·         Company Annual Processing Fee: increased from $100 to $120

·         Branch Initial Set-Up/Application Fee: increased from $20 to $25

·         Branch Annual Processing Fee: increased from $20 to $25

·         Individual Initial Set-Up/Application Fee: increased from $30 to $35

·         Individual Annual Processing Fee: increased from $30 to $35

·         MLO Change of Sponsorship Fee: increased from $30 to $35
